Painted Harvest Joy

Oh how I love the Painted Harvest Stamp Set!  I am always looking for versatility in a stamp set and this one brings me “Joy”! I used the sunflower stamp as a wreath for this clean & simple Christmas card.

This card layout is one you can use over and over. Just change the DSP and stamp any sentiment on the panel. I used the Large Letter Framelits to cut out the letters in Real Red cardstock. These framelits are a bit pricey but I am so glad I made the investment. They are perfect for monogrammed cards. I use them a lot to personalize cards and gifts.

I stamped the 2 step wreath in Garden Green ink and added the berries in Real Red. The slim 1/8″ Real Red Ribbon makes a pretty bow. The stamped panel is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I love the plaid DSP from the Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper. There are many fun prints in this paper pack.

It’s time to start thinking about your Christmas cards. This is one you could easily mass produce to send. It’s quick & easy to make! My Whisper White panel measures 3 x 4 1/4 and the Real Red layer is 1/8″ larger (3 1/8 x 4 3/8).

  1. Wonderful, Jeanie! You should enter it in the Merry Monday Challenge if you haven’t already! The challenge is to make a Christmas card with the word JOY in it. Perfect!

  2. Aren’t you the clever one! The flower makes a pretty wreath and that plaid is perfect for the background. I would never have thought of that! Thanks for sharing.

  3. Jeanie ~ Painted Harvest is my favorite stamp set in the holiday catalog and I love making projects with it, but I never thought of making a Christmas wreath with it. So clever! Love your blog……thanks for sharing! Your enthusiastic personality comes through in your writing!

  4. I’ve seen quite a few cards repurposing this stamp set as a Christmas wreath, but your design with the wreath as center of the word “JOY” is by far my favorite. I love the whole design aesthetic with the plaid (and, of course, the envelope magic). Thank you for always kicking my creativity into gear!

  5. I’ve been wanting to try the wreath like you added to your joy with this stamp set! It looks fabulous! Thanks so much for playing Merry Monday with us this week!

  6. After a few times of looking at this set I was thinking it might make a cool looking wreath since it had the one stamp that could double as the wreath berries. But, you took it up several notches by putting in the word joy. Not only is that clever, it makes a cool Yule card. Then using the plaid just shot it over the top. The mat and envelope just makes me almost woozy and giddy with joy. Fantastic. You definitely put the joy in the word joy.

  7. CAS perfection and absolutely LOVE how you used the Sunflower for a wreath…definitely a JOY filled card! Thanks so much for playing with us at Merry Monday!! :0)

  8. I love your style and this one is a winner! Great use of the stamp set and the plaid sets it off beautifully! Thank you for your inspiration!

  9. Wow…this is a great idea! Your card is beautiful and love the way you did up the JOY. You are quite the clever girl, my dear! Happy day to you, Jeanie.
