Make A Wish for Tic Tac Toe Challenge 002

Stampin Up Happy Birthday Gorgeous birthday card idea using Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper - Jeanie Stark StampinUp
Welcome to the second week of our Tic Tac Toe Challenge. Congrats to last week’s winners and a huge thanks to all who participated! I love this week’s challenge board designed by Corinne Blake! I enjoyed playing with gray and yellow as they are one of my favorite color combos!
Tic Tac TOe 002 board
This challenge is so much fun and easy to do! Pick 3 boxes in a row across, down, or diagonal and create using those elements. I made a “t” this week (you know me and the alphabet!!!) by choosing the elements down the middle and across the middle.

It was easy to create with the 3 elements across the middle of the board… birthday, gray, and yellow.  All I had to do was add a die cut butterfly (which I heat embossed with clear embossing powder) and I had the elements going down the middle.  (I couldn’t get a good photo of the embossing but trust me it adds a little shine and texture to the card.)  I popped up the DSP layer and the butterfly with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the banner in Smoky Slate on a piece of 3/4 x 4″ Very Vanilla.

I love this beautiful Designer Series Paper, Whole Lot of Lovely.

The print I chose reminded me of a lovely memory with my daughter…she loved to pick dandelions, make a wish, and blow the seeds.

The sentiment I chose is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set. It has lots of great sentiments and a fun font!

I used the Happy Birthday sentiment on the inside panel paired with a stamp from the Bright Wishes stamp set.

I hope this card inspires you to pick 3 (or more) and play along with the Tic Tac Toe Challenge.

  1. Again, another great Jeanie Stark classic but the picture of Ariane…..PRICELESS! Loved the way you rocked the challenge and the rhinestone on the butterfly – BLING to perfection!

  2. Simple and beautiful! Love the color combo….so classic. Your pic of Ariane is so sweet!

  3. Oh that adorable picture reminds me of my daughter Skye when she carried her doll everywhere !
This card is pretty and so easy that it would be fun to do a few for those back up cards that I keep just in case !
The TTT game is such fun ….gotta keep hopping to see the others !

    1. I love your daughter’s name!!! I preserved Ariane’s doll. One day I hope to hang it in a nursery for my grandchildren. I also have all my son’s dinosaurs! LOL

  4. I made a wish but it didn’t come true – I wished it was my birthday and you sent me this card! Your card is just lovely and I hardly ever use that term! You know it is one of those “L” words that are so hard to say! I love the DSP and that butterfly is just darn perfect on there complete with a little bling! Gray and yellow as well as black and yellow (substitute gold too instead of yellow) are two of my favorite color combinations. The photo of your daughter is priceless though I thought her prized possession was a stuffed dog and not a doll. Whatever! Beautiful card and envelope!

    1. Oh Chris we have our favorite color combinations in common!!! My son is the one who had a Gund stuffed dog (Sasha he called him/her). He slept with it every night but didn’t carry it everywhere like Ariane did with that baby doll.
