I really love the simplicity of this sympathy card and I will be mourning the loss of the products used the create it. Yesterday Stampin’ Up! posted the retirement list and the Crumb Cake Note Cards (133766), Floral Affection Embossing Folder (#141713), and Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper (#141632) are all on the retiring products list and only available WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. I love these products! The good news is some of these are on sale so you can take advantage and get a good deal! Don’t wait though as retiring products tend to sell out fast (especially if they are on sale)!
The base of my card is a Crumb Cake Note Card. You’ve heard me say before how these are such a great deal (20 note cards & envelopes for $6). I added a layer of Whisper White which measures 3 x 4 1/2. I embossed this piece with the Floral Affection Embossing Folder and adhered a layer of 1 1/4 x 3 DSP along the left edge. I stamped the sentiment from Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set in Momento Black ink (also retiring). I wrapped some Whisper White Baker’s Twine, tied a bow, and adhered this layer to my card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I have used the embossing folders in this set on several cards in the past. Before they “Rest In Peace” let’s take a look down Memory Lane at some cards I’ve created with the Floral Affection Embossing Folders.

I hope you enjoyed this little trip down Memory Lane with the Floral Affection embossing folders. I will miss them!!! They are replacing the Crumb Cake note cards & envelopes with Very Vanilla so I am OK with that though I would rather just have all 3 colors to choose from. 🙂

Jeanie, all of these cards are so pretty. I love that embossing set. It seems there are always retiring items that a disappointed to see on the list. The crumb cake notecards are just one of the items for me. Have a great day!
Awww, so sad!!! I giggled at your title though. And your cards are amazing as usual!!!
Beautiful cards 🙂
Pretty cards ! Really pretty with that EF detail. I have that folder and it is sad that it has to go because it just fits some card layouts perfectly . I will keep using it and enjoying it and glad I have it .
Put in my small order last night . Grabbed the So Detailed Thinlit Dies since they are on sale !!
FUN !
Ah, your title caught my attention!! Then I went and made 4 of these Crumb and Copper sympathy cards because, sadly, I need two right now, and now I’ll have two more on hand. They are just perfect. I too will miss these CC notecards, but for some reason I have only envelopes left and can cut my own notecards for a while, so I’m covered for a bit! 🙂
As part of the memorial, I will be casing this gorgeous sympathy card – I am pretty sure I still have my share piece of this paper. While I am at it, I might just copy the rest of these too to have on hand. I have 2 packs of the crumb cake notecards plus the crumb cake polka dot ones from a kit but I have been hoarding all of these. I have used most of my white ones. I was wanting the very vanilla so I am excited about that. They are just so convenient to use but do I really need another pack of the crumb cake? Maybe they will be gone and buried by the time I get them ordered. I read that the Nailed It bundle or at least the framelits are already gone. Geez, I better get the stamp set at least ordered if it is still available. I have yet to go through the catalog with the list to see what is going or staying etc. Maybe tomorrow I can do that. I have FOMO – fear of missing out! If I have a tomb stone – it will read either WHATEVER or FOMO you can bet on it! Otherwise, life goes on so they say. At least if I copy your cards I will get some use out of the EF that I just had to have – I think I used it once! I just love what you did with these cards! Thanks for a trip down memory lane!
Love this post! Your cards are beautiful and the title made me giggle. I feel your pain though. Going to miss the Affectionately Yours DSP. 🙁
