A Gift From The Garden

I absolutely love the March Paper Pumpkin kit!  Even if you do not want or need the “bunny bags” there is so much you can do with the contents of the kit!  I ordered extra refill kits as I am using the bunny bags for Easter table favors and need 25 (Big Family!). After I made all my bunny bags (which are so stinkin’ cute!) I had 2 bags left so I made this little gift.

I am going to visit my friend after Easter and she loves to plant flowers and garden. This bag makes a nice little hostess gift and easily holds 6 or more seed packets.  I used the Gift from the Garden stamp set and Basic Gray archival ink to stamp the image and sentiment.  I folded the “ears” in and used the twine, banner, stamp, and clothespin from the kit.  I finished it off with a flower from Grateful Bunch stamp set.  I love that this stamp set coordinates with Blossom Bunch Punch. I just added a rhinestone and attached it to the clothespin with a glue dot.

I think I need to order another refill kit as I am sure I will find many more uses for these bags.  Paper Pumpkin Subscribers can order refills for just $8!  That is unbelievable!  This month you get 9 of these bags plus 9 3×3 note cards and envelopes and all the embellishments to decorate them.  The refill has everything except the stamp set and ink spot. What a deal! I really like the cards but I am not using them as intended with the kit…check back again and I will show you what else I made.

If you want one of these refill kits you need to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin.  You won’t be disappointed…April’s kit promises to be Extra Special!  Not only is it designed by Stampin’ Up!’s CEO, Sara Douglass, but it includes a FREE gift!!  Paper Pumpkin is celebrating it’s 4th year.  I’ve been subscribing for 3 years and it just gets better and better! I think it is well worth $20 a month (price includes shipping).  I use the stamp sets long after the contents of the kit are all gone!  If you are new to stamping or on a budget this is a great way to get a variety of stamps and ink…you get 1 or more ink spots each month and they guarantee they won’t repeat colors within a year! I store my ink spots in a paper pumpkin box and take them with me when I travel for some crafting fun on the go.

I am mailing out my Paper Pumpkin thank you kits this week!  I appreciate everyone who subscribes through me and hope you enjoy your “goodie bag”.  If you’d like to receive my party favor goodie bag subscribe by April 10th! Paper Pumpkin Sara Thing 2

  1. Well, I guess you won’t be making the road trip after Easter to visit me – I am not into gardening! Of course the fair isn’t until August anyway. Mike is into the whole flower thing, I just pick them and enjoy them. In Houston at one time, he had 84 rose bushes of assorted kinds, shapes, sizes, and smells!

This little bag is just too cute! I can’t believe how well it stamped! I can’t wait to see what you did with the cards. I love the alternate projects people come up with and tend to CASE them. I think I have only made the kit as intended only a couple of times. I love the little ink spots but the stamps are usually my favorite thing. I think the kits are much better than the first year. If there is a kit I absolutely won’t use, I give them as a present to someone I know who would like them. I am really getting anxious to see this one this month. Taking your idea made me think of some fun things I could do with the extra bags too! I would love to see what you put in the goody bag to those who subscribe with you! Thanks for a great idea.

  2. Cute idea !! I have yet to play with my kit this month . Looking forward to the big surprise kit from Sara. Like Chris I am surprised at how well they stamped . Thanks for the idea !! I may not always do the project ,but use almost all of the supplies in card making. LOVE the stamps and Ink Spots !!

  3. What a wonderful idea!!!!! I loved this paper pumpkin and like you I have been a subscriber from day one and they do get better and better. I used all of mine to make the cute little bunnies and now I will just have to get the refill kit to make the seed bags for my gardening friends. Thanks for sharing.
