More Happy Mail

Welcome to my weekend showcase! If you missed yesterday’s Happy Mail you can click HERE. Today I am showcasing some more cards I received from others over the last few weeks. I am blessed with family and friends!

Susan’s cards always bring a smile to my face! This card is her classic style…simple with a little twist.  I love how she adhered the sentiment.  The dragonfly is so versatile which makes this card great for any occasion.

WOW!  Kathy’s card makes a bold statement!  I never bought this stamp when it was available.  Or course now I wish I had it!  Wouldn’t this be fun to color with the watercolor pencils?!

I can feel the stress leaving my body when I look at  Margie’s card.  The beach is my favorite place! This card captures that calming effect. I love the matching envelope too! I have many people ask for masculine card ideas and this card could easily fit that bill. The High Tide Stamp set has lighthouses and some great sentiments! Check it out HERE.

I always love Lisa’s cards…simple with a little bling!  This card makes me miss the Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper. I am heading to Richmond next weekend for the Stampin’ Up! OnStage convention and we will get the new annual catalog (YEA!!).  I am hoping there will be some watercolor paper like this! What new item would you like to see in the catalog?  Leave me a comment and I will choose a lucky winner to receive some Happy Mail!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading everyone’s comments. Yesterday’s winner was…Lucky #3  HJ.  Email me your address and I will send you some Happy Mail!

Have a wonderful day!

  1. Hi Jeanie, great cards. I love the birds/seagulls on Margie Wight’s card.
In the new catalog . . . I would love to see more comical sets, like Hey Chick! I also love the Hostess Set, Love You Lots, which I’m thinking I should ink up today!
    🙂

  2. Oh my ! What a treat …you had more cards to show ! The seagulls and water were my favorite stamps on that set also Nancy ! Pretty card Margie !
I would like to see more watercolor paper like Inside The Lines in the new catty . I am not a WATERCOLOR WIZARD ,but after I saw what you did with yours <Jeanie ….using it to decorate the plastic cases I went gung ho ! I even used it to make a case for my SU Watercolor Pencils .
    CONGRATS HJ !

  3. I love seeing what others do–these are all fun cards. When I scrolled down, my first thought was that looks like Susan’s fun bows. 😉 I’d like to see more variety of sentiment stamps with ones for inside and outside that are not too small. Lots of sentiments are either big or teeny tiny.

  4. I would love to see more ‘inside sentiments’ for card making! Maybe several sets with different themes…birthday, weddings, anniversaries,,,etc.,.it would make card insides so much easier especially in a larger font size too! I have noticed that a lot of our stamps have wee size for a whole
big inside…there are a few with larger, but we need more!

  5. Love your cards and ideas. I’d like to see a stamp set for masculine cards. They seem to be the hardest for me.

  6. Congrats HJ! Oh Jeanie, I am so jealous you have been getting some wonderful cards! Each one is wonderful! I guess my next happy mail won’t be until Christmas or the holidays anyway. We do have our anniversary this Saturday coming up but nobody will send us a card and we are doing good ourselves to remember it. No, I am not hinting or feeling sorry for us, I am just saying….. or as Sargent Friday would say, “Just stating the facts m’am!” I think we need to start a happy mail holiday campaign!

You asked what we would like to see the new catalog. Well, lower prices for one! Cheryl has a good point about the inside sentiments being small – we could use a few really well done ones and just use them a lot! Speaking of happy mail, I think we need more happy stamps – something just to send a card to say hi and make you smile. How many smiling faces were there with Phyllis and company on cards? We need some more animals to name and love. Maybe bring back that koala bear? What I think would be a good idea would be any sets with matching punches or framelits not be discontinued after the occasions catalog was over. By the time I have convinced myself I need that set and punch or framelits they are discontinued. It was a lot of fun to have the cookie cutter punch with more characters in the fall/winter catalog. I would have loved to have seen a rabbit we could have punched out with some eggs etc. Of course I would like to see my favorite moose in the annual catalog. Plus, I would like to see the hot air balloon set carried over with a new paper pack for it. I am always on the look out for new dog stamps, Bella is sweet, but I don’t think I have anyone who has a Bella dog I would send a card to. Stamping ideas for book marks. I think it would be cool for a lot of us to make book marks for schools, libraries etc. for people to have when they check out a book. Maybe the stamp could have a book on it and words that go with it about reading etc. A fun book worm that we could color and name. We could keep the Llama but have some new accessories like glasses and make his little blanket have a pocket with a book in it? Oh, and we need a new coffee/tea set or just bring back the coffee cup that is a carry out cup and have some new design for it or words! Hey, SU I am available for ideas these days since I have time on my hands!

  7. Hi Jeanie, I love all your cards. Those you have received are also great!

I agree with some of the above comments regarding the need for larger font stamps for inside the cards.. And my big big wish is for an electric big shot… I have seen other electric die cut machines but really am holding out for Stampin Up because I know if they do one it will be of the upmost quality. I know it would be an ‘investment’ but for some with physcial problems it might be worth the money
    Thank you..

    Bernice P.

  8. Congrats to HJ! Gorgeous cards! Love them all! Such great talent out there. I would love to see the enamel dots in all the colors and some basic colors sold separately. Also, bring back the adhesive that adheres like a sticker for cut out items. Enjoy!
