I absolutely LOVED reading the comments the other day with stories of your birthday memories. Thank you so much for sharing!!! It just reaffirms my feelings on “gifts”…it’s not what you get, it’s who you spend your time with! My husband and I like to give our children a “birthday experience” each year. Fads come and go but memories last a lifetime! And when you give an experience, everyone enjoys the gift! Many family vacations have been someone’s “gift”.
Speaking of gifts…Sharing handmade kindness is a gift from the heart! When someone takes the time to write a note inside a card and/or make a card, it is a “gift” in and of itself! I treasure the handwritten notes and cards from my kids over the years as well as those I’ve received from friends and family. I bet you do too!
The other day I shared some of the beautiful birthday cards I received. You can see that post HERE. Yesterday my blog was “hacked” by my daughter. If you missed her post and the card she made for me, click HERE. Today I have a few more cards to share with you from some of my very talented stamping friends…
Nancy heat embossed this card and even punched the envelope flap. I love the extra protective piece she added to protect the card. How clever!
Chris R.’s card is striking in black and pink with washi tape!
Chris did something I have never done before and I love it! She stamped the inside on DSP. I love her envelope too!
Ramsey added sparkle inside and out!
Ramsey knows I love adventures! It just so happens I am going on one today with my friend and upline, Susan Itell. We are taking a road trip and will be joining our friend, Roseanne, for an afternoon crafting adventure somewhere in Delaware.
It’s time to announce the winner of the birthday blog candy…Linda Schilling!
How funny that she was # 13…here’s her comment:
-
Sounds like you did have a happy birthday I “held my breath” all day when I turned 13 on Friday the thirteenth – but nothing bad happened. Best birthdays are shared with family doing nothing really special except being together. Having grandkids makes it even sweeter
Linda, it looks like #13 is pretty lucky! Please email me (j.stark@myactv.net) your address and I will send my birthday party favors to you.
Have a wonderful day!

Cute cards. I hope you are still celebrating and have a wonderful adventure today. I love that Linda’s #13 comment about her 13th won! How serendipitious!
I thought that was ironic how she was #13!
Well, will the wonders ever cease ? You have been hiding more fun birthday cards !! These are so special ! From blasts of stars and sparkly flowers to strutting Flamingos ! WOW !
Congrats Linda !….loved your #13 story !
Oh Sonny, I would never hold out on you! I received today’s cards on my actual birthday. The first round of cards I shared I had received early and posted them before I got these. I love all my Happy Mail!!!! 🙂
Congratulations Linda! That was fun yesterday with your daughter though you were hacked. You received a lot of fun cards for your birthday. So many good ideas to share.
I agree Chris! I love all my cards and and was so surprised, touched, and amazed by my daughter’s “blog”. I am blessed!!!
Oh, I was also born on the 13th (October) and it is my favorite number. Congratulations Linda!
Jeanie, how nice to showcase these cards. I’m glad you liked my card. I loved the other cards too and will definitely keep them on my “2B CASEd” list.
🙂
How did you make that protective insert? That is so clever!!!
I got the wording in a Christmas card insert. I just printed four on a piece of CS from the local craft store. It doesn’t add too much weight but it covers the bumpiness for mailing. 🙂
