Paper Pumpkin Party Time!

paper-pumpkin-party

Hip hip hooray—it’s Paper Pumpkin’s 4th birthday! Join the party and start your Paper Pumpkin subscription today!  I love getting my monthly kit surprise in the mail. February’s kit had 9 unique birthday cards but I don’t always follow the directions as intended. (Shhhh!  Don’t tell my students that!!! LOL)  Yesterday was my Stampin’ Up! anniversary and what better way to celebrate than with a Paper Pumpkin Party!  I got together with some of my Paper Pumpkin Players to stamp and put together our kits. We were having so much fun creating our cards and alternate projects that I didn’t take many pictures. Here’s a few starting with our Paper Pumpkin birthday cake.

I love Paula’s gift box made using 2 cards from the kit.  Sweet Claire made a card and candy bar slider for her friend who had to have surgery.

There’s always so many alternate ideas and inspiration on Pinterest and the Paper Pumpkin Facebook page.  We made many cards, gift boxes, tags, candy sliders, etc.  Here’s a picture of some of the sample projects. I always try to use every last scrap from the kit (even the tissue paper! LOL).

  1. What a FUN post and darn, I wish that I was there. Yesterday turned into a dead battery on hubbys car and “Wife to the rescue” –

That Claire is so stinkin’ cute…I think it is wonderful that she loves to stamp so much!

Happy Anniversary my friend. You should be so proud of yourself in all that you have accomplished and the lives that you have touched with your talent…..Cheers to the years!

    1. Thanks, my friend! Claire is stinkin’ cute and you would have loved hearing her list to her mom what she needed for her “soon to be” craft room she has requested! Here’s to another generation of crafters! She truly loves sharing handmade kindness. She is an inspiration!

  2. Well, Jeanie, the snow is coming/here. UGH . . . well, I have a few great kits to make and I am very excited about that. I have not opened my PP yet either, but maybe today is the day. These alternative ideas are fabulous.
Happy Friday, keep warm and cozy!
    🙂

    1. Of course we get the snow now once I put up my spring wreath!!! LOL Today’s snow was pretty but nothing stuck! We are suppose to get a big storm Monday into Tuesday which has me thrilled….I love SNOW DAYS! No school means more time to stamp! I am going to get my projects lined up for my day off!!! Fingers crossed! (I do feel bad for those that have to go to work in the snow…I’m sure they are not as thrilled to see it as I am!)

  3. I think Mike needs to get busy and finish up all his projects on the house so we can sell it and move out east so I can play with you and Susan etc. Plus, we would be close to my BFF Pam who lives in Stephens City, VA. I bet you all have the best time creating. I like Claire’s candy bar holder and slider card. In fact, I like all the alternative ideas. Rarely do I make the kit as it is meant to be! There was a hiccup in my account and I couldn’t get SU to change the new expiration date. After 2 E-mails and a phone call they finally got it straight but I still couldn’t get the Feb. kit but she sent me a free January kit so I could make 48 of those cute little bags for the police and fire dept. and then she told me I could get the refill for the Feb. kit and just not have the stamp set. Sounds like a plan to me! She promised me I was set for March’s kit. We will see! If we hadn’t had to go in and change my password and some other stuff on the account I would change the demo to you just so I could get the party bag! I am all in for a party as I need some fun in my life!

    1. WOW Chris! You made out like a bandit with Paper Pumpkin. I have to say Stampin’ Up! Demo Support is the BEST I have ever seen! They are always so nice and helpful and they ALWAYS make it right even if it isn’t their fault! You are the only one I know who got an extra Feb. Kit! Those kits were gold! It was the first time since I’ve been a Paper Pumpkin subscriber (3 years!) that they didn’t offer the refill kit. Because of the Sale-A-Bration offer they sold all their kits through subscriptions. I usually buy refills because I love to do some different ideas and one kit is just not enough to play with. LOL You will have fun with your refill…there are lots of other stamps you can use in the space or simply just cover it with any sentiment like we did for the candy slider. It will still slide to open. Rachel Tessman just posted her alternative ideas today…she is amazing! She turned the slider card upside down so the words come out right when you open it.
Have a great weekend! I agree, you should get Mike to finish those home improvements and move out here (there’s even a house for sale in my neighborhood!)…Susan and I are going to Virginia tomorrow to play! 🙂

  4. Well, CONGRATS on your Stampin’ Up! anniversary!!!! And congrats on some beautiful cards etc from the February kit! We need a lot more Claire’s in the world to carry on the crafting traditions! And the cake, well I LOVE cake! It looks so yummy! You are motivating me to use up “every last scrap”!! It should not be to hard with this kit and all the CASEing I am going to be doing!!😊

  5. How fun ! A Paper Pumpkin party !! I love getting my PP kit each month . I rarely use the crafty projects ,but love the STAMPS and Stamp (Mini) pads ! BUT I use all the papers, envelopes ,etc. except still wondering what to do with all those test tubes from one kit from last year !!
