Let’s Celebrate!

Today is my 200th blog post! It has been so much fun sharing with you!!! The idea to start this blog was my daughter’s brainstorm as a way to keep me busy (so I wouldn’t miss her) while she was away at college. Your comments have not only inspired me but helped me embrace this transition in life. I love creating and sharing with others and I have met so many wonderful people through this journey. Thank you for being my cyber friends!!

Let’s celebrate!  As promised, I am giving away some blog candy! Leave me a comment letting me know something you like about my blog or something you would like to see in future blog posts. I am always learning and trying new things and I will do my best to continue to help and inspire you.

Here’s what I’m giving away:

  • Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack
  • So Very Much Stamp Set
  • A handmade card from me

Deadline for blog candy comments is Wednesday, March 8 at 2:00 PM (EST).  (Now why did I pick 2:00???) I’ll choose a random comment and announce the winner on Thursday. *Note:  I can only ship within the U.S.

In addition to the prize above the winner will receive today’s card.  Let’s talk about this card… I love embossing folders!  I think you get the biggest bang for your buck with these. They add texture and interest to a card. The Celebrations Duo Textured Impressions Embossing Folders are unique…they create a debossed impression. I also used the Confetti Embossing Folder which is fun for many occasions. The focal point of this card is the cool Star Blast Edgelits Dies cut from Gold Foil. The finishing touch is the gold bow which I attached with a glue dot.  This card was quick & easy to create.

Have a wonderful day!

  1. I love your blog because not only do you have great card making ideas, but you personalize it by showing us family members, activities, etc. By personalizing your blog, it allows us into a small window of your life that makes the blog more real- more believable that anyone can do what you’re doing.

  2. I love the way you incorporate the beautiful packaging and presentation of gifts with matching cards. Everything you create is so pretty and fun and your ideas are wonderful! You are very, very good at your craft and it is a joy to read your daily posts. Keep up the good work and thank you for all that you do and for giving me a smile each and every day!

I am so proud of you as I know that this is a labor of love but through the whole process of blogging something else happens…you gain a whole new group of cyber friends that truly become your friends, a part of your life.

Your blog is so you! Keep it that way as it is always fun to check in and see the talent, the stories, the love that you put into it. Bring on post #201~

  6. Oh Jeanie, it is like a baby . . . I remember your first blog . . . (I think it was your first?!) The July 4th sparkler/candy holder made from the punch board. You had me hooked right then and there. I love your style and you are very creative, engaging and as they say . . . “a plethora of ideas”. I am so happy for you.
    Happy Tuesday.

  20. OK first of all Susan called you Sunshine – I think it should be Starshine as you tend to use stars now and then and besides it more unique just like you and your blog. I love the way you teach us, share stuff both paper-wise as well as family life and well whatever! You let me rattle on about whatever as well. I gotta get this figured out why your blog doesn’t come to me automatically so I can share each day. Congrats on the milestone post and may you have a zillion more as we look forward to your blog posts and wonderful creations. 2:00 as in the number 200? 23. I love everything about your blog. However, what I like best is when you pair things and have everything match like cards and bags or tags. Love coordinating a special gift, because only special people get these beautiful homemade cards. Keep blogging and congratulations on your 200th blog. Amazing.

  24. I found you through Susan Itell’s blog (thank you, Susan!). Every time I open your blog, I am so thankful that I found you. I love your cards – beautiful, clean and inspiring.
