A Glimmery Thank you

Yesterday I shared the 3 new Sale-A-Bration items. My favorite new item is the  6″ x 6″ Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack!  I need a lot of thank you cards so I decided to play with the new glimmer paper to make some cards.

Stampin Up Clean & Simple Bold Butterfly Thank You card ideas - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

I have used this simple card design before. You can change the DSP and choose a variety of sentiments then cut them out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Layering Ovals Framelits. I used  DSP from Floral Boutique, Succulent Garden, and Blooms & Bliss.  The DSP is cut at 3 1/4 x 3 1/2 and matted with a layer of cardstock that measures 3 3/8 x 3 5/8.   I chose colors to coordinate with the new glimmer paper from Sale-A-Bration…Bermuda Bay with Night of Navy, Sweet Sugarplum with Old Olive, and Mint Macaron with Island Indigo.

The sentiments are from Suite Sayings, Suite Sentiments, and Dragonfly Dreams though many others would fit as well.  I used the Bold Butterfly Framelits to cut the butterflies from each of the different colors of glimmer paper. The 6 x 6 Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack comes with 12 sheets; 4 each of 3 colors (Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron, Sweet Sugarplum).

  1. Yeaaaa! Jeanie has been stampin!!! And great cards to boot! My favorite is the Mint Macaron. I wonder if they will figure out how to keep that color. I don’t have it because I did not get into the older in-colors. Silly me!

  2. Hi Jeanie, I love these cards. I don’t have the glimmer paper, but I sure do have everything else I need to make these. I hope I can make a bunch to have on hand today. I just seem to be keeping my head above water, make a card, send a card . . . then I don’t remember if I sent one or not. By the way . . . when is the deadline for the Card Swap? I do think I missed it.
    Have a great Hump Day!
    🙂

  3. Well, my swap card is your Blooms and Wishes almost twin !! Cute cards and I am with everyone else about the Mint Macaron . I can remember Baja Breeze being a favorite ,but it went BYE BYE !
Like the Glimmer paper assortment ,but too bad Mint Macaron will be history in a few months !

  4. Yeah, Jeanie is back in town and she is out the gate stamping up a storm! These are so pretty and who could pick a favorite?
