P is for Pretty Pocket Card Kit

Welcome to my alphabet series showcasing some of the new products in the 2017 Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs. Today I am showcasing the Pretty Pocket Card Kit which is featured on page 19 in the Sale-A-Bration catalog. This kit is FREE with a $50 order during Sale-A-Bration!

The kit can easily be put together as is or you can change it up and add your own special touch.  Here’s some alternative ideas from my Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator magazine.

Another alternative you can make is a box using 2 of the card bases. I got this idea from Debbie Henderson. Pretty adorable!

To make the box you simply adhere two cards together by removing the adhesive and line up the sides.

Next, take a piece of 4 1/4 x 5 1/4 Pool Party (or So Saffron) and with the long side at the top of the scoring board, score at 1/2 and 4 3/4.  Cut a notch in each corner and add Tear & Tape along the score lines.  Turn the box upside down and remove the adhesive from the triangular flaps and the scored piece.  Insert the scored piece in the bottom of the box and press the sides to adhere.

When you turn the box over this is what it looks like as you look down in to the box. If you want you could cut a piece of So Saffron a smidge less than 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 and glue to the bottom on the inside.

Next cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock 4 x 1 1/4 and adhere the German “DANKE” sticker.  Add glue around the sticker and glue on the inside of the box so you see the sentiment through the open space.  Adhere a flower sticker on the front covering up the sentiment..  Repeat for the back of the box.

Add the white twine and tie a bow and your box is complete.  It can be used to hold cards or a gift, or for organization in your craft space.  Pearl Basic Jewels,Rhinestones, and Enamel Shapes fit well as does 20 Note Cards & Envelopes or Bakers Twine.
