M is for Milestone Moments

Welcome to my alphabet series showcasing some of the new products in the 2017 Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs. Today I am showcasing the Milestone Moments Stamp Set found on page 27 in the Occasions catalog. This year there are several milestone birthdays for some of my friends and family.  I made this card for my “older” sister who is turning 60 soon.

Stampin Up Milestone Moments and Large Number Dies birthday card idea - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

I combined the wording from Memorable Moments with the Large Numbers Framelits.  I like the way the banner “wraps” the numbers and stands out…just what I wanted.  My sister and I celebrated many birthdays together growing up as our birthdays are just 2 days apart.  We live over 400 miles apart now but still talk on the phone everyday…sometimes several times a day! 🙂 Here’s a photo of us as kids and my favorite photo of us on her wedding day.

This card was fun and easy to make! I chose this color combination because they’re her colors.  I used Night of Navy cardstock for my card base. The Whisper White layer measures just 1/8″ smaller, 4 1/8 x 5 3/8.  I embossed this layer with the Confetti Embossing Folder and sponged it with Night of Navy, Old Olive, and Daffodil Delight. I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink and cut the banner and numbers out using the Large Numbers Framelits. I attached the banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I love the embossed and sponged envelope to match!

  1. What a wonderful surprise, my early birthday card. Looking forward to celebrating our birthdays in a few weeks!!!!! The big 6-0-. I loved the card and pictures.

  2. Hi Jeanie! Love the details on this card. My favorite colors. I’m in the middle of three girls and love my sisters, as you do your’s. So much fun!
    Happy Weekend!
    🙂

  3. I have 2 older sisters and 2 younger sisters and a brother who is the youngest (we spoiled him rotten! LOL). I always say the best gift my parents ever gave me was my siblings!!!

  4. So agree on Siblings as a gift! I have 3 Sisters and 3 Brothers! I am the oldest of the clan! We too lost much to a ‘fire’. We have been able to scavenge photos over the years from relatives. I have them in photo albums and on cd’s. In case of fire…I grab the book of cd’s!
