Celebrate You with a Sneak Peek

I needed a masculine birthday card for a lot of people to sign.  I loved Mary Fish’s card using the Birthday Blast stamp set (available Jan. 4th)  so I adapted it to make mine.

Celebrate You from Birthday Blast Stamp Set

This card uses one of my favorite color combinations…night of navy and very vanilla. I started with a piece of 7 x 10 night of navy cardstock and scored it at 5″. The gold foil measures 6 1/2 x 4 1/2 and the very vanilla layer is 6 1/4 x 4 1/4.  I stamped my image twice in VersaMark and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. I added a gold metallic foil doily. The sentiment layer measures 1 1/2 x 5 and is heat embossed in gold. These colors are classic together and really make a statement with the gold embossing.

I needed to have plenty of room for everyone to write on the inside. I cut a piece of 6 1/2 x 9 1/2 very vanilla and scored it at 4 3/4.  I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink and heat embossed the stars in gold.I adhered the right side to the inside of the card.  I like the way it provides plenty of space for everyone to write a personal message.

I made a matching very vanilla envelope using the envelope punch board and I even heat embossed it in gold.  I love how quick and easy it is to heat emboss and it really makes a big impact.

  1. Beautiful card, Jeanie. I love how you made an extra page for many people to sign. This color combo is great and I love that new stamp with the gold doily. So, so pretty!

  2. I agree….very clever! Your card is beautifully done and the colors are so rich! It will surely put a smile on the recipient’s face especially with all the birthday wishes.

  3. Love your version of this card! The added details and embossed envelope are terrific! Perfect masculine birthday card that anyone would be proud to sign their name to!

  4. Hi Jeanie, I really love this card. I like how you stamped it inside too. I cannot get back on your blog. I signed up and it says I will get a confirmation email and I never get it. I’m still working on things on my end also. Have a great weekend.

  5. LOVE this card, Jeanie. Hmmm…maybe I shouldn’t have traded with you (lol) cause now I KNOW I want this set!!! And what a great idea to put a card within a card. I recently made a card for a lot of people to sign but just put an extra panel on the inside. We ran out of room! Im going to remember this one for next time. Thanks for another great idea! <3
