More Blessings

The other day I shared with you a Blessing Box using the October 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit. You can see that post HERE.  Today’s pouch holds the same blessing mix and it is quick and easy to make if you need multiples for Thanksgiving table favors or gifts for friends & neighbors.

I used the Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Paper to make my pouches.  Inside is the Blessing Mix.  Click below to view and print the recipe.

I cut my Designer Series Paper into 3 x 12 inch strips.  I filled a bag with the blessing mix and stapled it to the DSP.  Then I just wrapped it up, folded over the top, and tied a piece of ribbon.  I used 3/8″ Mint Macaron and Delightful Dijon ribbon from the Ribbon Trio Pack found in the Holiday Catalog (page 47).  I made 12 of these pouches in less than an hour to give to the hairdressers in the shop.  I am so grateful for them…they sell my cards to help raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness.

As you can see it can be quick & easy to share a little handmade kindness. I hope this inspires you to see what you have available and make a little something to brighten someone’s day.  You can change it up and add different sentiments for any occasion.

I am off to the airport today to pick up my daughter. I am so excited that she is coming home for Thanksgiving.  My son is off from work too so we will all be together to celebrate.  I am thankful and blessed!  My husband bought a 19 pound turkey…we will be eating leftovers for days!  What’s on your menu for Thanksgiving dinner?  Leave a comment and let’s see what’s cooking!

Hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving.

  1. This just shows that one does to need to spend a ton of time to make an amazing goodie! I just love the colors also! Have a GREAT time with family this Thanksgiving!!! I picked my daughter up from school last night and it is sooooo good to have her home!

  2. This is a great idea….I love your box and the colors! I am sure you are on cloud nine picking up your daughter. We are going up to my oldest daughter’s house for gobble day to enjoy the turkey and all its trimmings. Enjoy!

  3. Cute! They look so big in the photo, I had to check out the dimensions – perfect size! Say hello to Ariane for me! Tell her my Uber ride went very well 🙂 thank you! And Happy Thanksgiving!!! We are cooking turkey, stuffing, gravy and cranberries. The rest of the family (17 of them) are bringing pot luck, so it’s always a “blessing mix” of fun foods!!!

  4. Great Idea! I’m off to whip up a 1/2 dozen for some co-workers; great treat before we break for the holiday. Have a great Thanksgiving. I am grateful for YOU and all your creativity. The generous sharing of your talent is a wonderful gift tom each of us.

  5. Great idea for place settings! Thanks for sharing! This would be very simple to give the kids something to do too!
