V is for Very Vanilla DSP

Welcome to the ABC’s with DSP!  This month I am featuring projects showcasing Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper. Today I am sharing 2 cards I made using Very Vanilla from This Christmas Designer Series Paper.

I think the snowflake DSP makes great thank you cards to send after Christmas.  These would make great teacher or hostess gifts as well as stocking stuffers! I always make thank you cards to give to my children for Christmas so they are all set to thank family members for their gifts.

The Very Vanilla card base measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.  My snowflake DSP measures 5 1/4 x 4.  I cut the thanks from the Hello You Thinlits and adhered it to Very Vanilla cardstock that measures 1 5/8 x 5 1/2″.  The basic black layer is 1 3/4 x 5 1/2. My husband often asks me for thank you cards and this one will work for him.

The musical notes DSP is perfect for note cards for yourself or to give as a gift. I don’t know the music director at our school very well but he was kind enough to give me a guitar pic I needed for a special card for someone. (I’ll post that card another time.)  I made him a set of note cards to show my appreciation. I used the Crumb Cake note cards and Envelopes. I say this all the time but this is a great bang for your buck!  You get 20 cards and envelopes for $6.00.  I use the white note cards all the time for thank you cards.  I think this crumb cake note card makes a great masculine card.  I had some extra clips from the Tin of Cards kit so I added them here.

The musical notes DSP measures 2 7/8 x 2 7/8 and is layered on a 3 x 3 piece of basic black cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment from Flourishing Phrases on Very Vanilla with Basic Black ink and punched it out with the 1 1/2″ circle punch.  I punched the basic black circle with the 1 3/4″ circle punch and popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Check out this gorgeous gift card holder showcasing the Very Vanilla musical notes paper along with some new dies that are going to be available Nov. 1st! These new Stitched Shapes Framelits are going to be such a beautiful addition to cards and projects. Email me (j.stark@myactv.net) to preorder yours today!

  1. These cards are great! I love very vanilla and black….so warm and fuzzy. I agree with Ramsey….the thanks on the snowflakes is so “cool!”
