Garden Green Designer Series Paper from the Regals Paper Stack

Welcome to the ABC’s with DSP!  This month I am featuring projects showcasing Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper. Today’s paper is from the Regals Designer Series Paper Stack. Garden Green is a great choice to use for your holiday projects.

Today’s cards would be easy to reproduce multiples to send.  I cut the DSP 2 x 6 to get 12 strips from each 12 x 12 sheet.  You could make 48 cards or 24 cards with matching envelopes from each color scheme. I used Garden Green on my cards today. (Cherry Cobbler is also in the Regals Collection. You could make another 48 cards if needed and you would still have 8 more colors to choose from.)  I used 3 of the 4 designs for my cards.

I used the Triple Banner Punch, Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set, and Wonderful Wreath Framelits to make my cards.  Check out this short video from Stampin’ Up! for some great tips and samples using the Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set and Framelits.

I stamped my image a little different than she did in the video.  I used Garden Green ink to stamp the image then lifted and turned the stamp a little to the right and stamped again without reinking so it stamps a lighter shade and fills in the space. Also, I cut the inside piece on the first card then decided I didn’t really need to cut that piece out for this particular card.  It made it easier to adhere the die cut sentiment with the center piece intact.  Did you notice the difference in the cards?  You could choose to do it either way. When I’m mass producing I try to save steps wherever possible.

I love the Joy die that comes with the Wonderful Wreath Framelits.  Noel is also in the set and if you want even more choices there’s merry, jolly, and peace dies in the Christmas Greetings Thinlits.  If you want to see an easel card I made with the peace die CLICK HERE. I used the Cherry Cobbler silky taffeta ribbon from the Holiday Catalog to make my bows. You could use the bow die that comes with the framelits.  Here’s a look at each card and matching envelope.

  1. Jeanie, you are a card making machine. Each one is beautiful. I do not think the inside of the wreath needs to be cut out at all. As you said, gives the joy something to hang on to.
    Have a great day!
    🙂

  2. Love green! These cards are great….simple, classic and fun! All three are beautiful and I agree with Nancy regarding the wreath! Enjoy!

    1. Thank you Mary Ann! I love getting input from others! I always play around with different stamp sets and try many different versions as I try to decide on our Christmas card each year. I did buy a new stamp set because it had a beautiful sentiment I know I want to use for the inside of my card but that is as far as I’ve got this year. Usually I have a better idea of what I’m going to make before now. It gives me an excuse to keep playing with my stamps! LOL

  3. Jeanie, These cards are awesome!!! I love them all but the stripe one is my favorite! I have to say I like the cut out center but if one is making a lot leaving the center in is no big deal! Well done!!!
