Today’s the Day for Thoughtful Branches

I made this card using the new Thoughtful Branches Bundle that is available starting today until August 31st (or while supplies last). The inspiration for my card came from my own backyard.  I love hydrangeas…they remind me of summers on Cape Cod. While we were on vacation our hydrangeas bloomed. It was a nice welcome home surprise.

For my background I used Blushing Bride card stock and the Brick Wall embossing folder.  I sponged the brick using Sahara Sand ink and a sponge dauber.  It was quick and easy to do.

I wanted to add depth to my flowers so I cut 3 of the flower thinlits using whisper white card stock and attached them with glue dots.  The glue dots raise them just enough.  I cut the leaves in Wild Wasabi card stock, attached them to a scrap piece using the fine-tip glue pen, and cut them out with my paper snips.

I assembled the card on Blushing Bride card stock and added some tiny pearls to the flowers.

This card has so many possibilities…birthday, sympathy, get well, or thinking of you (which is what I stamped inside my card and on the envelope). I love this font!

    1. It’s amazing anything grows at my house as I do not have a green thumb at all! Mother Nature gets all the credit! I do love looking at them through my windows.

  1. Just placed my order for Thoughtful Branches using my $5 coupon. Can’t wait to get my hands on the bundle.

  2. Thank you Linda! I often find myself giving Stampin’ Up names to the colors of clothing while out shopping. You can find great color combos in clothing. LOL

  3. Jeanie, how did I miss that you had a blog? I love this card. The bricks are so darn realistic. Love the leaves as well as the flower and the little pearls are the crowning jewels! I need to check out more of your blog now!

  4. Hi Chris! I just starting blogging last month (with lots of encouragement from Susan and my daughter). Thanks so much for stopping by! I think you will get a kick out of my museum pictures if you check out previous posts. LOL
