The last few days it’s been all about Suzanne. (It’s not everyday you turn 50!) I shared her birthday card and a bottle tag to get her party started. Today I am going to share the tag I made for her gift bag. It’s a quick and easy tag and it ties it all together.
I found this bag at the party store and I thought it was perfect for Suzanne’s gift. I could have left it like it was but the teacher in me wondered, “Was it meeting it’s full potential?” I thought not. I chose this framelit from the Labels Collection (retired) because I really liked the way it tied in with the scroll design on the bag as well as the number 50. I wanted to keep the same elements I used on her card and wine tag so I embossed it with the Floral Affection Embossing Folder, cut the Large Numbers Framelits, added gold ribbon, and heat embossed the sentiment. I used the Number of Years stamp set.
I cut ~15″ of gold ribbon and tied a knot on each end. I like the way this makes the ribbon curl. I wrapped the ribbon around the handle on the bag and stapled it together. Then I added glue dots to the staple and the knots on the ribbon and attached the tag. Quick and easy!
What I love is how everything ties together and makes for a great presentation. Plus, it’s handmade from the heart. Here’s a look at the whole birthday set starting with the gold inspiration piece.
I hope you have enjoyed these projects and can see how easy it is to make a special gift with just a few personal touches. Go share some handmade kindness!
Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!
