Today is my friend Suzanne’s 50th birthday celebration with the girls. Everyone chipped in to rent a limo to take Suzanne and friends on a toast of the town to celebrate. Unfortunately I can’t go so I sent this bottle of champagne in my absence to help get the party started.
I love to make tags. They are great for hostess gifts, holidays, or any occasion. Here’s how I made this one for Suzanne:
I started with some thick whisper white card stock and the largest banner from the Banners Framelits. I ran it through the Big Shot and then embossed it with the Floral Affection Embossing Folder (I absolutely LOVE this embossing folder!)
I used the Triple Banner Punch to cut a 1 1/2″ x 7″ gold banner. I cut out the number 50 using the Large Numbers Framelits and gold card stock. I attached the numbers to the banner using Stampin’ Dimensionals to raise it up. Next comes the magic. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Celebrate Today stamp set using VersaMark, gold embossing powder, and the heat tool. I attached it to the banner with Fast Fuse Adhesive.
Next, I tied a bow around the bottle using the gold satin ribbon. I love this ribbon! It so soft and elegant and easy to work with! (I will admit I chose a bottle to match this beautiful ribbon.) I used glue dots to attach the tag to the ribbon. The ribbon tag just slides over the bottle. How easy is that?!
I really like how it turned out and I hope Suzanne has a birthday as special as she is! I wish I could be there to celebrate with her; however, I’m not having a pity party. I am going to be spending some time abroad with my daughter before she goes off to college.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope I have inspired you to make some tags. Check back tomorrow to see Suzanne’s birthday card.
I hope you have a wonderful day!
